I am currently a Tenure Track Assistant Professor (Ricercatore a tempo determinato di tipo B) at the Department of Mathematics and Applications "R. Caccioppoli" of University of Naples Federico II.
Before, postdoctoral researcher in mathematics at Ghent University, funded by the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) under the supervision of Prof. Leo Storme.
From 2021 to 2022, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Nonlinear Algebra group lead by Prof. Bernd Sturmfels at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences. In 2019 I was awarded with an Early Postdoc.Mobility Fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF), which I used jointly between INRIA Saclay, advised by Prof. Daniel Augot, and Technical Univerity of Munich, advised by Prof. Antonia Wachter-Zeh. In the summer 2019 I got my PhD degree in Mathematics at University of Zurich, under the supervision of Prof. Joachim Rosenthal.
My main research interest is Algebraic Coding Theory. I study the algebra of finite fields and its applications, with also a focus on combinatorial problems on codes. I am especially interested in rank-metric codes and their algebraic structures.
